Special Ops Survivors – Media Relations

Special Ops Survivors (formerly United Warrior Survivor Foundation before undergoing a rebranding with SHOESTRING) focuses on serving the unmet needs of surviving spouses by complementing the assistance provided by other organizations.

While SHOESTRING was working with Special Ops Survivors on their rebranding, it was apparent that we could help pitch a national story via a press release before Memorial Day 2011. Once the story was developed and released nationally, it received the attention from many outlets including CBS Nightly News. We handled the media relations tactics from the CBS reporters and assisted Special Ops Survivors on putting the story together for the three-minute segment.

SHOESTRING is currently the public relations agency of record for the organization.
